Produced from 1947 through 1953, the Advanced-Design played a heavy role in Chevrolet’s success during the first decade after the War. Ratio of sale between cars and trucks dropped to 2.5:1, and Chevy hit 2 million sales (the first for any American car maker) in 1950.
